The name “desert marauder” has its origins in another long-running creative endeavor. I chose it also because it represents the desire to find things worth taking (in this case, photos) from destinations far off the beaten path.
Growing up, I was practically raised by the travel shows on TV, so it’s easy to guess why I’d be drawn to landscapes. I’ve always felt the right perspective can make the most out of a normally ordinary setting.
Of course, I’ve never forgotten my roots. I’ve always wanted to get up close to things that interested me, and to learn about them on an almost molecular level. Art, technology, wildlife, and nature are some of my favorite subjects.
